Lance McCullers Rehab Assignment
SUGAR LAND, TX (April 9, 2025) – Baseball fans in Sugar Land have plenty to look forward to at Constellation Field this week, as three Houston Astros pitchers are utilizing the Sugar Land Space Cowboys for crucial rehabilitation assignments.
The action already began last night, Tuesday, April 8th, when RHP Kaleb Ort started his official rehab assignment with the Space Cowboys. Ort took the mound at Constellation Field as he began the process of working back towards the major league roster.
Tonight, Wednesday, April 9th, attention turns to RHP Forrest Whitley. The highly-regarded pitching prospect is scheduled to make his first rehab appearance, taking the mound for the Space Cowboys right here in Sugar Land as he begins his own journey back to full strength.
The excitement continues this weekend. Astros veteran Lance McCullers Jr. is scheduled to continue his ongoing rehab assignment with another appearance for the Space Cowboys this Saturday, April 12th, at Constellation Field. McCullers Jr.'s appearances always draw significant interest as he progresses towards his return to the Houston rotation.
