Mulligan Sullivan | Roughnecks Lose Against Battlehawks

Yeah from the top to the bottom the Roughnecks could use a
do over from Week 1 result. It actually wasn't as bad as the score would
indicate, but it was bad none the less.
Going into the 4th quarter it was actually still a winnable
game. The Roughnecks didn't give themselves a chance to win though. Out
the gate the energy was sub par. You represent one of the largest cities in the
country and the largest city in football country. Take some pride in holding up
the H! There seemed to be a lack of urgency to the offense, and a lack of
execution all the way around.
The defense did enough to give the Roughnecks a chance to
win if we are being honest. That's even after the big play festival they gave
up to the battle hawks.
The offense chose not to participate in winning football at
all Friday night. Turnovers stopped them in their tracks several times. The
body language read just like the execution on the field displayed. It was not a
great look for the offense at all. All facets of the offense didn't show up.
This loss falls on the coaching staff in my opinion. This
showing looked like a team not ready to go to be frank. There was no flow to
the play calls. It never seems as if there was a defined weakness they were trying
to take advantage of. They were just throwing shit at the wall. The players
ability to execute didn't help. I'm just saying though.
The greatest part is they will get another opportunity this
week to correct course on boyz. The cherry on top is that it's a in state
rival. We don't respect nothing about that other city up the road around here.
See how I ain't even say their name. This is a chance to get
the train back on track to the rig rocking when the Roughnecks return off the
road. Are the Roughnecks up to the task?
