Christmas at NRG

Written by Thomas Graham

The Houston Texans (9-6) and Baltimore Ravens (10-5) competed at NRG Stadium in Houston this evening as part of the NFL Christmas action.

The Texans' offense only managed one safety throughout the game as they battled to get momentum. The Ravens' defense put constant pressure on quarterback C.J. Stroud, which led to several sacks and few passing opportunities. Similarly, the Texans' running game was suppressed, as they could not mount a steady ground attack.

The Texans struggled to stop the Ravens' explosive attack on defense. Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for Baltimore, demonstrated his versatility by making a substantial contribution to the Ravens' scoring drives. The Ravens were able to dictate the game's pace because the Texans' defense was unable to produce crucial stops or turnovers.

With the win, the Ravens take exclusive possession of the AFC North's top spot, but they must continue to pay close attention because the Steelers have the tiebreaker if the two teams are tied after next week. In Week 18, the Ravens will take on the Cleveland Browns.

During her incredible performance, Houston native Beyoncé debuted songs from her country-inspired album "Cowboy Carter." The audience was intrigued by her arrival on a white horse, and the attraction of the concert was enhanced by special visitors like Post Malone and her daughter Blue Ivy. It was the first NFL telecast on Netflix, and the show was streamed live on the service.

Even though the Texans have already secured the AFC South, it seems that they will be guaranteed the fourth seed, and given their performance today, they may find it tough to avoid the opening round. On Sunday, January 5, the Texans will play their final game against the Tennessee Titans.

Texans fans may have been more alarmed by the end of the second quarter than by the remainder of the first half. Despite their terrible performance, Houston's most nerve-racking moment was when C.J. Stroud suffered a late injury that forced backup Davis Mills to enter the game. Fortunately, Stroud made a quick comeback, but it was with just 11 seconds remaining.

In conclusion, the Texans' game on Christmas Day was characterized by both offensive and defensive difficulties, ultimately leading to a resounding defeat to the Ravens. But for the spectators in the stadium and watching on the live stream, Beyoncé's halftime show offered a joyous and unforgettable experience.
