The Bounce Back BULLS

The chickens come home to roost last week against the Vikings. Mistakes the Texans won in spite of the first two weeks were to much to overcome on the road against a legit Vikings team. It took a bullish effort in the trenches to pull off this week's win vs the Jaguars in spite of those same mistakes showing up again this week.

One thing must be accepted about this Houston Texans team. When it's winning time, they are not afraid of the moment. Under the leadership of Demeco this team has showed up in a major way when it counts. The goal-line stand after the rookie rundown. The offensive drive to win the game. Need I say more? It's how the Texans are going about getting to those winning moments that's causing concerns.

I believe it's something they can and will fix. The talent level is there along with the quality leadership. I'd put it in the category as a gelling issue as of now. The hits on CJ Stroud are more of a concern for me vs the penalties. Most of the penalties look like wtf you are doing! So, I know if we are bamboozled, it's got to be light work for a professional. Outside of the hits, CJ has looked more comfortable using his feet. That could spell destruction for NFL defenses.

At the end of the day, you can chalk up the end of the first quarter of the season 3-1. We got our first round of boos from the fans this Sunday. Combine that with a win, that gives me hope this franchise is headed in the right direction. I was shocked and impressed at the same time by the boos. The fan base still has work to do on the early arrival for the TV shot.

Come on! I know Houston is the home of kool-aiding and slowboogie, but sheesh! We will save that convo for another day.
