Houston, TX – Dynamo head coach Ben Olsen expressed mixed emotions following his team’s loss to Atlas. While acknowledging the defeat, Olsen maintained a positive outlook on the team’s performance.
“It wasn’t our best night, but we had enough chances to win the game,” Olsen said. “We created opportunities, defended well, and limited Atlas to few quality chances. It was a tightly contested match, and unfortunately, they capitalized on one of their opportunities.”
Despite the loss, Olsen found some silver linings. He praised the team’s resilience and the performance of new players. “We’re building something special here,” he said. “Ezequiel Ponce gained valuable minutes and showed good chemistry with his teammates. Lawrence Enalli made an impressive debut, demonstrating his speed and energy.”
Looking ahead, Olsen emphasized the importance of facing tough competition. “Playing against high-caliber teams like Atlas helps us identify areas for improvement and grow as a team,” he stated.
Olsen concluded by expressing confidence in his team’s ability to bounce back and compete at a high level.
