Houston faced off with the Pittsburgh Steelers at NRG stadium. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud passed for more than 300 yards for the second straight game. The Texans inducted three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt into the team's hall of fame at halftime. With 306 passing yards and two touchdowns, Stroud made Houston fans happy.

Despite not taking any sacks, Stroud completed 16 of 30 passes against the Steelers.  With 15 completions on 23 attempts for 114 yards and 1 interception, Houston's defense held Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett to 15 completions on 23 attempts. Two pass rushes by the Texans knocked Pickett out of the game, which included one on fourth down early in the fourth quarter. Houston's Jonathan Greenard led the defensive line with 2.0 sacks. Pickett was also intercepted early in the first quarter by cornerback Steven Nelson.

This win made the inducting of former defensive end J.J. Watt much sweeter. The  30-6 victory Sunday afternoon at NRG Stadium pushes the Texans in the right direction to adding more wins to the column.
