Houston won a penalty shootout 5-3 to defeat C.F. Pachuca, which was a tournament game under the city lights on a Wednesday. It wouldn't disappoint a packed house with a lack of action. Out the gate both teams pushed forward aggressively and consistently. Pachuca would dominate possession in the first half. They would end the first half with 9 shots on goal. While the Dynamo quick counter attacks would produce 5 corner kicks and 2 shots on goal heading to the locker rooms.
The second half would be a defensive stale mate. Micael was everywhere all at once it seemed. Herrera impact down the middle can not be understated and shined as it usually does. All in all it was mission accomplished. The victory decided by penalty kicks would be in hand at the end of the night. A huge win over a quality opponent. Now it's see you on Monday in the round of 16.
