In a nail-biting thriller at Constellation Field, the Sugar Land Space Cowboys staged a furious comeback in the eighth inning, but ultimately fell just short, dropping a heartbreaker 6-5 to the Albuquerque Isotopes.

The Isotopes wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard, with Greg Jones launching a leadoff homer on the very first pitch! Albuquerque piled on three more runs in the first, leaving the Space Cowboys reeling.

But Sugar Land wouldn't go down without a fight! Kennedy Corona put the ‘Boys on the board in the fourth, and the eighth inning erupted in a flurry of excitement! Quincy Hamilton laced a single to score a run, and Dixon Machado's deep fly ball sent another streaking home. The hits kept coming, with César Salazar and Jacob Amaya driving in runs, and suddenly the Space Cowboys were breathing down Albuquerque's neck!

With one out and the tying run on third, the tension was thick enough to cut with a bat. Unfortunately, a strikeout left the tying run stranded, dashing Sugar Land's hopes. The Space Cowboys couldn't muster any magic in the ninth, falling one run short in a gut-wrenching defeat.

Despite the loss, the Sugar Land faithful witnessed a valiant comeback effort! The Space Cowboys look to bounce back tomorrow night as they continue their homestand. Don't miss a pitch of the action as Conner Greene takes the mound for Sugar Land against Albuquerque's Josh Rogers!
