XFL Championship Game to be held in Houston
For Immediate Release
According to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle, The XFL’s inaugural Championship Game will take place in Houston Texas.
The XFL has said previously that its championship game will take place at one of its eight hosting cities, and it seems H-Town has been chose. The Harris County Houston Sports Authority and the XFL will hold a press conference on Thursday [Feb. 13th] to make the announcement.
The XFL Championship Game will take place on Sunday, April 26th at 3 PM on ESPN.
TDECU Stadium can hold around 40,000 which is larger than the Audi Field in DC but smaller than the MetLife Stadium in New York. 40,000 seats seem to be the right size to potentially have a sell-out of its first XFL Championship game since 2001.
