On Sunday, Justin Allen of All-En Sports Performance along with friend Ronald Ollie held their first football training camp at CE King high school on the Eastside of Houston. The camp featured former NFL players like Josh Hill formerly of the Arizona Cardinals to teach kids the fundamentals of effective football, all for FREE. The camp age ranged from grade 1 all the way to high school level. Justin and Ronald broke the camp up into position groups that ranged from offensive/defensive linemen, cornerbacks, to quarterback and running backs.
The free camp focused on strength and conditioning and how to be smart and explosive on either side of the ball. It was exciting seeing a large a group of kids of this caliber motivating one another and building "Team" attitudes. There were attending athletes whose skill levels ranged from season high school athlete to beginner. Allen, Ollie, Hill and others took time with each group, no matter the skill level as they rotated through drills. These young athletes advanced at the opportunity to soak in football knowledge. With this being his first camp, the turnout was a success. Around 200 plus kids attended the free camp.

In case you didn’t know Ollie and Allen were apart of the Netflix series #LastChanceU, where they featured athletes wanting to make a play at playing football at a top tier college from a JuCo and wanting to transition to the NFL. Season 4 dropped last week with the update on Ollie and the vigorous training he received from Allen while on his journey to the pros.
When asked by the Houston Chronicle about his journey, Ollie said,
"I'm just ready to get it going,"
"I'm ready to keep learning. I feel like once I get everything down pat I'm going to make an impact as soon as possible and get to where I need to get to mentally. It's going to take a lot more studying and being laser-concentrated on the task at hand to try to make sure all my dreams come true. It's perfect timing for me. I just know the things I'm capable of. When it all falls out, I'm just glad to get the opportunity."
You can catch Season 4 of #LastChanceU on Netflix, streaming NOW
