San Antonio Commanders: AAF Opening Day

The city of San Antonio welcomed its Alliance of American Football team, the Commanders, with an AMZING amount of support.The team and its new fan base made away with its Saturday night victory, 15-6 over the San Diego Fleet in the inaugural game at the Alamodome. Approximately 27,857 new Commander fans showed up to welcome the team.
Despite the concession hangup, it was a GREAT opening night for the city of San Antonio. Celebrities like Spurs legend David Robinson, retired Dallas Cowboys star Troy Aikman and San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg also threw their support behind the city's new team.
Next up, the Commanders take on the Orlando Apollos in the Alamodome on Sunday Feb. 17th @ 3PM. Gates open at 1:30pm.
