Looks like Dez Bryant has found a new home. The former Dallas Cowboys receiver has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, as a source confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on earlier today. With Ted Ginn out, the Saints needed another slot receiver for Brees to connect with. The Saints appear to be a STRONG Super Bowl contender, with quarterback Drew Brees, who is having one of the best seasons of his career .
With backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater on the bench, who they traded for late in the preseason, the Saints have an impressive QB lineup that includes Taysom Hill. Bryant has been on the open market since he was released in Dallas in April. It was thought that the Texans were going to acquire him, but passed and later traded for Demaryius Thomas.
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett reacted to the Bryant deal saying.......
"Dez is a great player. Dez was a great player in this organization for a long time. Really happy for him and that opportunity," he said. "I know it's important to him. He wants to finish his career strong. He's done such a great job for this organization and been an impact player in this league over the course of his eight years playing. Seems like a real good opportunity for him. I know he'll help their team."
Dez Bryant will likely be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver along with rookie Tre'Quan Smith. So now the anticipated game is on the November 29th, when the Saints go marching into Dallas. Expect one HELL of a show.
